Getting started

1. Pair your Apple Watch

Install Twicy on your iPhone; the watch app installs with it. Open Twicy on the watch and allow the microphone.

2. Set up Voice ID

When Twicy asks, read five short sentences aloud in a quiet place. From then on it keeps only what you say.

3. Live your day

Keep the watch on. In the evening, open Twicy on your iPhone: today's sentences are waiting under Today.

FAQ

Can I try it without an Apple Watch?

Yes. Settings → Load sample data fills Today with a sample day, so you can practice right away.

Today is empty.

Make sure listening is on in the watch app and the watch is near your iPhone. Recordings move to the iPhone in the background; open Twicy and pull down on Today to process them now. Writing the English needs an internet connection.

It picked up other people.

Turn on Voice ID in Settings and record your sample in a quiet place. Sentences that don't match your voice are dropped.

Which languages are supported?

You learn English (American or British). Your language can be Japanese, Korean, or Chinese (Taiwan). The app is in English.

Practice doesn't hear me.

Allow Microphone and Speech Recognition for Twicy in iOS Settings. If on-device recognition isn't available for your device, turn off Settings → On-device recognition only.

Is my data private?

Yes — see the Privacy Policy. Recordings and your voiceprint stay on your devices. Only sentence text is sent, to write your English, and Twicy's server doesn't keep it.
